Fujairah is a world apart from the glittering cities of the western UAE. As the only emirate situated entirely on the Gulf of Oman coast, it boasts a dramatic landscape where the rugged Hajar Mountains plunge into warm, crystal-clear waters teeming with marine life. The emirate is home to some of the UAE's oldest heritage sites, including the 16th-century Fujairah Fort and the ancient Al Bidyah Mosque — believed to be the oldest mosque in the country. Fujairah's underwater world is equally remarkable, with Snoopy Island and Dibba offering some of the finest diving and snorkelling in the region.
